Celebrity Dirt - 5.16.11

Charlie Sheen approves of his replacement.Friday, after Ashton Kutcher was announced as Jon Cryer's new Two and a Half Men co-star, Charlie tweeted, "Congrats to the cast and crew...CBS and WB! My best to [Ashton]! The show must go on... You got the right guy!"

VH1 doesn't want Spencer Pratt around. The network has banned the one-time reality TV villain from the set of wife Heidi's new show, Famous Food. According to TMZ, Spencer isn't "allowed on the set, near the set, or to be involved in any way whatsoever." Heidi reportedly agreed to the ban.

Nick Cannon revealed that Child Protective Services was called to the hospital where Mariah Carey is still laid up after giving birth to twins ... because of allegations of drinking and drug use. Cannon spoke with Piers Morgan about the incident, saying CPS came to the hospital after receiving calls claiming "there was some drinking and drugs and all that going on while in the hospital." Nick says he spoke with CPS and told them the whole thing "is ridiculous." Cannon went on to say he thinks it all started when a nurse suggested to Mariah she drink Guinness beer, saying the yeast improves breast-feeding. Nick said he felt someone overheard that and tried to set up Nick and Mariah with the bogus claim.

Though NBC picked up another edition of Celebrity Apprentice, the network is prepared for the possibility (however remote) that Donald Trump will follow through with his threats to run for president.“If he decides to run and is unavailable to do the show, we will bring the show back and someone else will be sitting at the head of the board table,” NBC programming topper Robert Greenblatt told reporters Sunday.
BTW: Meat Loaf and Lil' Jon were fired on last night's Celebrity Apprentice, pitting Marlee Matlin against John Rich in next week's finale.
